FAQ

CuRe Technology

CuRe – is a consortium of world-leading recycling innovators and experts led by Morssinkhof Group and DuFor/ Cumapol Group, with strategic partners DSM-Niaga and NHL Stenden University of Applied Science.
PET, rPET, Polyester. We focus on used polyester that cannot be addressed by mechanical recycling. CuRe’s modular design makes it adaptable to a range of difficult to recycle polyester waste streams and output requirements. Our focus is on food grade PET packaging and also on textiles, carpets and in the future other used polyester applications.
Yes. CuRe is an end to end recycling process that has the potential to rejuvenate difficult to recycle PET waste into high-quality 100% rPET.

CuRe Pilot Plant

Our pilot plant has a capacity of 20 kg/hr in a continuous process.
The CuRe consortium has built its first pilot plant in green chemistry hotspot Emmen, Northern Netherlands. This pilot plant will enable the progression of the CuRe Technology to a point of commercial readiness, as well as acting as a meeting point for product designers and recyclers who are committed to working together to close the loop for polyesters.

Industrial scale

CuRe will be scaled up as soon as possible using existing assets to have a commercial facility of at least 25 kta nameplate capacity. Thereafter the technology will be licensed out and/or produced in own facilities on a global scale.
